After the death of his grandfather, Pipe, an hispanic young man who has been raised in the United States, receives a letter from his father, Luis Felipe, who asks him to return to Ecuador and join him on an expedition to search for the lost treasure of the Inca emperor, Atahualpa. Pipe, determined to prove that he is worthy of the challenge, accepts but, once in Ecuador, he faces the harsh reality of a father imprisoned in an obsession that has consumed generations of his family. Together with a peculiar group of expedition members, among which is Lily, Luis Felipe's mysterious girlfriend, advance through spectacular and mysterious landscapes in the middle of the Amazon and the Andes, but little by little, one by one, the crew members start to disappear. As father and son go deeper in the jungle, Pipe must deal with a terrible choice: fulfill the destiny that his bloodline has imposed on him or get out alive.

The making of A SON OF MAN was motivated by the fear I felt of losing who I consider to be a character more important than life itself, my father. A man I loved and who made me believe in magic. He entrusted me and transmitted his lifestyle aimed at the search for the unknown and the exploration of the Andean-Amazon territories.
Finding the treasure of the last Inca Empire has been my family's obsession for generations. Embracing my father's legacy, I chose to follow in his footsteps and bring a new travel experience to my son (Pipe) and to audiences all over the world.
This is a poem to nature, to family ties and to my country, Ecuador. It is a journey that imposed on me questions that I did not want to answer, but that ultimately led me to understand my place in the world.
